Fane's eyes widened as she came towards him. He couldn't believe she was finally here. Was this some sort of cruel trick of the eyes? It was too good to be real...
As if reading his mind, Adrianna smiled softly. "It's real Fane. I'm here. You raised me back to life. And I'm here to stay."
Very slowly, the vampire moved forward, taking in every single detail if his beloved, her soft curls, her petite curves, her molten brown eyes, her soft brown lips, her delicate hands...she was even more beautiful than he remembered her to be. His hand gently touched her cheek, and his breath hitched. She was real. He could feel her soft fur under his fingertips and her gentle hand grasp his own. She really was here with him. He was successful in bringing her back to life. For the first time in centuries, tears of joy streamed down his face as Adrianna herself cried as well and beamed at him.
"I've missed you, my love, so much," he whispered, his voice cracking, cradling her face in his hands.
"I have missed you too, darling," she said, her pretty lips curving her face in a watery smile. With that, Fane pulled his beloved Adrianna into his arms and leaned his face into her hand as she caressed his cheek, savoring that feeling, fearing that he would never have felt her touch again. He stroked her face as he gazed into her mesmerizing brown eyes, and kissed her deeply and passionately, with all the great love that he had for her, never wanting to let her go.
